Shaping the Future of Disability Rights 2026 Nonpartisan Candidates’ Forum Join us on October 7th at the Bristol Event Center, 112 Century Drive, Bristol, CT for a nonpartisan educational forum where candidates or their representatives answer questions on disability issues. Participants include candidates for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of the State, State Comptroller, State Treasurer, and Connecticut’s five U.S. House districts. It is a chance to learn where they stand and to get voting information before the election.

The Mount Southington Charity Golf Tournament will be played Monday August 31st, 2026, 10AM Shotgun at Timberlin Golf Course in Berlin, CT. Join the Sail CT Access Program for an Open House honoring military and disabled veterans on Saturday, August 29, 2026 starting at 9:30 AM. Co-sponsored by the Spinal Cord Injury Association of Connecticut, this free event features sailing excursions and a complimentary lunch at Safe Harbour Pilots Point Marina in Westbrook, CT. All ages and abilities are welcome to experience the freedom of the water.

Ahead of the fall release of the 2026 National Survey on Health and Disability (NSHD), the Institute for Health and Disability Policy Studies is asking people across the country with disabilities and health conditions for their help to promote the survey.
