CT Chapter Awards for 2008

Dr. Philip Arnold Award 08’

This years Dr. Philip Arnold Award was given to Caitlin DePalma at our annual picnic this summer at Gaylord Hospital. Caitlin is our Chapter Secretary and a Therapist in the Wheelchair clinic at Gaylord Hospital. She has been a Board Member for almost ten years and is a priceless asset to our Board. Caitlin continues to oversee the responsibilities and functions of our Board as well as bring new information and fresh ideas from the Therapeutic end of the spectrum to us. On behalf of our Board I would like to say Thank You for your continued support.

President’s Professionals Award 08’

This years President’s Professionals award was given to Erin Prastine. Erin is a Therapist at Gaylord Hospital She Joined our Board of Directors three years ago. In that short time she has helped start a monthly support group which has continued to grow in attendees. Erin has also revamped our Stop trauma program with the implementation of “Think First”. Think First is a nationally recognized educator on the prevention of Spinal Cord Injuries. Erin in conjunction with Gaylord Hospital and our Chapter go to schools to educate children, teens and adults on the prevention of Spinal Cord Injury.
