NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) - Approximately 5,000 people in Connecticut rely on wheelchairs, otherwise known as Complex Rehabilitation Technology or CRT, for mobility and independent living. Wheelchair users told News 8 that repairing their chairs is a nightmare, as it normally takes weeks. After a bill failed to pass during the last legislative session to improve wheelchair repair times, a state task force was established, comprising 24 people to study the issue and find solutions.
